Tungsten plate is mainly used in the production of temperature standard light source, tungsten evaporation boat, electron tube pole, heat screen, high temperature furnace member, X-ray tube tungsten target, etc. With the continuous development of science and technology, tungsten plate applications continue to expand, especially in nuclear energy, medical equipment and other applications have been rapidly developed.
But in general condition, tungsten is a kind of low temperature brittleness of material, ordinary methods of the preparation of tungsten plate intensity (1000 ℃ high temperature tensile strength of 270 mpa) and hardness (as 380 HV30), mechanical machining performance is poor, easy to fall off side damage and crack, low yield, and difficult to meet relatively harsh conditions, such as nuclear energy, medical equipment use tungsten plate performance requirements.
To this end, based on the powder gold method, the researchers have explored a method to produce high-performance tungsten plates. The main processes include:
(1) The sintered tungsten sheet of powder metallurgy with the original thickness of 40‑160mm was heated in a hydrogen furnace at 1500℃ ‑1600℃ for 40‑90 minutes, and then the forging was carried out. The first processing rate was 30%‑60%; Then, in the temperature of 1400℃‑1550℃, temper 10‑40 minutes, and then conduct forging, the processing rate is 20%‑38%; At the temperature of 1300℃‑1450℃, temper 10‑30 minutes, and then conduct forging, the processing rate is 15%‑25%, and the final forging thickness of the control tungsten plate is 20‑40mm.
(2) The forged tungsten plate was heated and rolled. The heating temperature of the first rolling was 1200℃ 13 50℃, and the processing rate was 20%‑30%. Then, at the temperature of 1100℃‑1250℃, temper the heat for 10‑30 minutes, and then conduct rolling. The processing rate is 15%‑25%. Follow-up rolling was carried out at a reduction of 50 ° c 200 ° c per fire, and the processing rate was 10% 25% until the required size was reached.
(3) The rolled tungsten plate was subjected to stress-relieving annealing in hydrogen furnace at 1000℃ - 1300℃ according to the final rolling temperature and rolled tungsten plate size, and the annealing time was 10‑120 minutes.
Through the forging and rolling process, the cooling forging or rolling deformation can be controlled in sequence, and the tungsten plate can be processed with large deformation, so that the metal grain structure can be fully refined, and the grains can be closely combined without holes, cracks and other defects. After stress relief annealing, tungsten plate has good mechanical properties, hardness HV30≥ 410,1000 ℃ b≥350MPa, cutting performance significantly improved, can meet the harsh requirements of nuclear energy, medical equipment and ion implantation and other fields.
