In recent years, the mining、smelting and processing of molybdenum in China has developed rapidly.
According to the data, in 2001 China actually produced 72,000 tons of molybdenum concentrate, 33,000 tons of molybdenum oxide, 7,600 tons of ferromolybdenum, 9,500 tons of various types of ammonium molybdate, 1,183 tons of molybdenum strips, 1,200 tons of molybdenum slabs, 150 tons of molybdenum sheets, and molybdenum. More than 40 tons of wafers, about 50 tons of molybdenum heads and other special-shaped products, 3.15 billion meters of electric light source industry and mechanical processing of molybdenum wire, and hundreds of tons of chemical products such as lubricants, catalysts and pigments.
Not only that, China has a pivotal position in the world molybdenum market. According to customs statistics, in 2001 China exported more than 70,274 tons of molybdenum ore, molybdate, ferromolybdenum and other molybdenum products, with a foreign exchange of US$262 million.
