Tungsten Crucible Has A Promising Future In Rare Earth Smelting

It is reported that rare earth products smelted with tungsten vortex and molybdenum crucible contain tantalum and molybdenum content up to 1 0 0 0 X 1 0-6, which not only reduces the grade of rare earth products, but also reduces the service life of tungsten vortex only 30 to 80 times.

 In recent years, tungsten crucible has been trial-produced in China, and the rare earth products only contain 100x 10-6 tungsten. It meets the requirements of foreign businessmen, and the service life of the crucible is up to 40~500 times, and it can be used continuously for 5 ~ 6 months (12 times of melting per day). Currently, there are five types of tungsten crucible in rare earth smelting, including 90mmx 170mm, 110mmX200mm, 120mm X 300 0mm, 135 mX 300 mm and 195mmX 170mm. By using tungsten crucible to smelt rare earths, they obtained considerable technological and economic benefits.
